Description : 

An IP address or domain name can be blocked by cPanel IP Blocker Tool.

The users from Blocked IP address cannot access the website.

IP addresses can be blocked manually.

This feature will allow you to block a range of IP addresses to prevent them from accessing your site.

You can also enter a fully qualified domain name (FQDN), and the IP Deny Manager will attempt to resolve it to an IP address for you.

Deny access to an IP Address or domain name : 

Step 1 : Click IP Blocker under cPanel Security section.

Step 2 : Provide the IP address or Domain Name or Range => Add an IP or Range

IP Address can be provided in different formats:

• Single IP address
• IP Address Range
• CIDR format
• Using Wildcard
• Domain Name

Single IP address : 

Single IP address used in IP blocker to block the specific IP

For an example, we can block ( 192.168.0.1 ) using single IP address

IP Address Range : 

IP address range is used to block the IP for particular range

For an example, we can block ( 192.168.0.1 -192.168.0.40 ) using IP address range

CIDR format : 

Classless inter-domain routing (CIDR) is a set of Internet protocol (IP) standards that is used to create unique identifiers for networks and individual devices.

The IPaddresses allow particular information packets to be sent to specific computers.

That system is known as CIDR notation.

For an example, we can block ( 192.168.0.1 /32 ) using IP address range.

Using Wildcard : 

A wildcard mask is a mask of bits that indicates which parts of an IP address are available for examination. In the Cisco IOS, they are used in several places.

To indicate the size of a network or subnet for some routing protocols, such as OSPF.

Implies complete range of IP address range, it has been implies like 192. ( 192.*.*.* ).

Domain Name : 

Domain name block is used to block any domain name in IP blocker

For an example, here I have block the name like domainname.com

Once we have blocked the domain name we can see the status under Currently- Blocked IP Address

Remove an IP address from the Denied List using cPanel Blocker : 

Denied IP address or Range can be accessed by

Step 1 : Click IP Blocker from the cPanel Security section

Step 2 : Identify the Currently-Blocked IP addresses option by scrolling down the interface.

Then click => Delete

After that, next page shows IP removal

Then click => Remove IP

Upon clicking the option IP address or domain name will be removed and show the message like below
