Mailing lists<\/strong> allow you to use a single address to send mail to multiple email addresses.<\/p>\n

List of the names and addresses of people to whom advertising matter, information or other material may be mailed regularly.<\/p>\n

Create a mailing list : <\/strong><\/p>\n

The system includes an interface that allows you to define a name, password, and domain name for the mailing list.<\/p>\n

The following steps shows to create a mailing list in control panel.<\/p>\n

Step 1 : <\/strong><\/p>\n

Login to your cPanel using domainname.com\/cpanel<\/p>\n

Login using the valid login details<\/p>\n

Step 2 : <\/strong><\/p>\n

Enter mailing list<\/strong> in the search box and select Mailing list.<\/p>\n

Step 3 : <\/strong><\/p>\n

Enter the mailing list name<\/strong> in the List Name text box.<\/p>\n

Choose the domain name.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Enter and confirm the new password<\/strong> in the appropriate text boxes.<\/p>\n

Step 4 :  Select Privacy option<\/strong><\/p>\n

Private<\/strong> \u2014 Private archives exist for this mailing list.
\nThe administrator must approve subscriptions, and the Mailman interface does not display the mailing list.<\/p>\n

Public<\/strong> \u2014 Public archives exist for this mailing list.
\nThe subscriptions are open and the Mailman interface displays the list.<\/p>\n

Then click => Add mailing list<\/strong> to create new Mailing list<\/p>\n

Now the new mailing list has been successfully created.<\/p>\n

Step 5 : Current Lists<\/strong><\/p>\n

Current lists shows the list of mailing list we created.<\/p>\n

List Name<\/strong> – The mailing list’s full email address.<\/p>\n

Usage<\/strong> – The amount of disk space that the mailing list uses.<\/p>\n

Access<\/strong> – The user’s level of access to the mailing list.<\/p>\n

Admin<\/strong> – A delimited-by-rows list of email addresses of the mailing list administrators.<\/p>\n

Functions<\/strong> – Administrative functions for the mailing list<\/p>\n

Step 6 : Manage a mailing list<\/strong><\/p>\n

Click => Manage<\/strong>, under Functions<\/p>\n

Here we can manage the mailing list, also we can define the various configuration options.<\/p>\n

Once done click => Submit Your changes<\/strong> to make the change.<\/p>\n

Step 7 : Enable spam filters for a mailing list<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mailman’s Spam Filters feature requires Apache SpamAssassin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We can enable Apache SpamAssassin in the cPanel, select Enable Apache SpamAssassin in cPanel’s Apache SpamAssassin interface<\/p>\n

Then click => Manage<\/strong>, under Functions in Mailing list<\/p>\n

In the Configuration Categories section at the top, click Privacy options<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Then click => Spam filters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Enter the filter rules that you wish to apply. For more information<\/p>\n

Once finished click => Submit Your Changes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Step 9 : Delegate a mailing list<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once you have delegated administrative privileges to an email user for a list, the user can login to the list\u2019s administrative console from webmail (http:\/\/mail.domainname.com\/webmail).<\/p>\n

Delegate administrative rights to an additional user : <\/strong><\/p>\n

=> Under Available Users, select the email addresses of the users to whom to delegate administrative rights.
\n=> Click the right arrow button.
\n=> Click Save.<\/p>\n

Remove administrative rights from a user : <\/strong><\/p>\n

=> Under List Administrators, select the email addresses of the users from whom to remove administrative rights.
\n=> Click the left arrow button.
\n=> Click Save.<\/p>\n

Step 10 : Delete a mailing list <\/strong><\/p>\n

Click => Delete<\/strong> under Funtions, in Mailing list<\/p>\n
